SUMMARY:Type Around The Clock
DESCRIPTION:Registrations are now open for Type Around The Clock\n\n\n\n\n\nHere are the session times for our Time Zones: \n\n\n\n\nDownload our session times\n\n\n\n\nClick this link for more information and to register: \n\n\n\n\nEvent Information & Register\n\n\n\n\nType Around The Clock is a worldwide event that will unfold online around the world on and around April 18th\, 2026. \n\n\n\nAltogether\, no less than 9 sessions will successively go live around 3 main time zones: Asia-Pacific\, Europe\, and North America. In each of the 3 time zones\, the 3 sessions will be followed by an online social gathering. \n\n\n\nFollow this link to download a detailed timetable. \n\n\n\nFor time zones not listed\, you can convert into your local time with https://www.timeanddate.com/. \n\n\n\nTo display details about the session and a speaker bio\, just click on the circled lower case “i” symbol – you need to click on the blue ‘Tickets’ rectangle first to access this information. \n\n\n\nThe event is FREE for all sessions. You just need to register for the sessions of your choice below. Organizers and speakers make this event possible through their volunteer work. You can also make a donation to help us pay for the technological infrastructure that makes it possible. \n\n\n\nMAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD YOUR TICKETS ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED REGISTRATION: THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL FIND THE ZOOM LINKS TO ATTEND THE SESSIONS! \n\n\n\nAll sessions will be held in English\, except for one that will be in Japanese. The technology we use allows you to display captions in the original language or in the language of your choice (translation is automatic). It is best to attend the event live to allow for interaction with the speakers and the other participants. However\, recordings will be available later. \n\n\n\nType associations around the world created this event: AusAPT (Australia)\, TypeLab (Japan)\, BAPT (UK)\, AFTP (France)\, APTI (USA). \n\n\n\nType Around The Clock will be accessible to anyone\, anywhere\, at any time during its 24-hour duration. But some sessions will\, of course\, be at more convenient times than others. \n\n\n\nIf you’re in Australasia\, the first two sessions will run daytime Saturday 18th April: Brian Lawrence will start at 10:30am AEST in eastern Australia (12:30pm in New Zealand)\, followed by Terri Connellan at 12:30pm AEST (2:30pm NZ). You might also like to join Terumi Ito’s session at 3pm AEST (5pm NZ): it will be conducted in Japanese\, but with live-translated captions that may give you the gist of the discussion. \n\n\n\nThe next block of sessions\, from our type friends in the UK and France\, will follow on Saturday evening and night: Josh Leach and Jerry Gilpin at 6:30pm AEST (8:30pm NZ); Steven Launay at 8:30pm AEST (10:30pm NZ); and Sue Blair and Elizabeth Dunn at 11:00pm AEST (1:00am Sunday NZ). \n\n\n\nThe final block\, from our type friends in America\, will continue through the wee hours of Sunday morning. You might like to stay up for Denzel Mensah (2:30am AEST\, 4:30am NZ) and Kevin Kell (4:30am AEST\, 6:30am NZ)\, or get up early for Dario Nardi (7:00am AEST\, 9:00am NZ). \n\n\n\nYou’re welcome to register for just one or two sessions of special interest — or for a round-the -clock marathon of all nine sessions. \n\n\n\nBetween the presentations there will be breaks and social sessions\, a great opportunity to meet and chat with other type enthusiasts from all over the world. \n\n\n\nAnd for those who like turning the pages of a booklet\, CHECK THIS OUT – a wonderful contribution from BAPT’s Ros O’Donnell \n\n\n\nhttps://publuu.com/flip-book/1065909/2372242
