SUMMARY:Webinar: Growth/Development Experiences – Transcending our ‘Risks’
DESCRIPTION:Growth/Development Experiences – Transcending our ‘Risks’ with Alex MacFarlane\n\n\n\nThis online interactive facilitation is also part group discussion and information-giving workshop. It explores components that assist in attaining a deeper shift into self-transformation\, wellness\, and thriving. Self-transformation/maturation/personal development research has demonstrated that this process has components to it that are both specific for specific types as well as components that are more general across types. This session will focus upon ways and means we have overcome some of our “risks” inherited via both nature (type and temperament) and nurture. It will focus upon two overarching questions: \n\n\n\n1.       What have seemed to be my ‘Risks’ and how have I matured in overcoming or managing them? \n\n\n\n2.       What experiences….circumstances or events in my life have been catalysts to growth? \n\n\n\nAlex MacFarlane\n\n\n\nAbout your presenter: Alex MacFarlane\n\n\n\nAlex MacFarlane is a clinical and consultant psychologist specialised in the application of psychological type and temperament as a core therapeutic tool in clinical practice and consulting. Her work has involved private practice\, teaching\, training\, research and consulting. Her ongoing PhD studies the relationship of psychological type and pathways to optimal functioning. \n\n\n\nThis AusAPT event\, sponsored by the NSW/ACT chapter\, is open to all. \n\n\n\nThis is an online event via Zoom. SUMMARY:Webinar: The Monomyth in Media: How Type Influences our Hero's Journey
DESCRIPTION:Modern media takes myth and recognisable patterns of type behaviour to create relatable stories with which we resonate. Delve into the Campbell’s monomyth and collective archetypal patterns through examples in Game of Thrones and popular film franchises\, with ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ heroic round-table activities that investigate type preferences in the call to adventure of your own journey. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout your presenter: Daniel Blashki\n\n\n\nDaniel Blashki trained in biomedical sciences and has primarily worked in university and institute settings\, in regenerative medicine research and facility management. He has more recently taken his biochemistry background to create a frozen dessert business. Daniel has a passion for learning and discussing archetypal patterns\, particularly through myth and media storytelling\, and their application towards Jungian depth psychology and communication-based problem-solving. \n\n\n\nThis AusAPT event\, sponsored by the VIC/TAS chapter\, is open to all. \n\n\n\nThis is an online event via Zoom. Register for this event in advance to get the Zoom link. We will send the recording to you if you register. \n\n\n\n\nRegister for this event\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThanks to Casey Fyfe for the feature image via Unsplash.
